Kimberly's Biography
Kimberly Scopano began studying piano at the age of 10 and has studied under noted concert pianists Wells Gemberling, Dr. Samuel
Wellman, and Dr. David Ehrman. She has performed both locally and nationally and has won various piano competitions. While earning her degree, Kimberly served as collegiate accompanist and performed regularly at (the late) Dr. Jerry Falwell's church. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in education and has served as both classroom teacher and administrator. Before starting her own piano studio, Ms. (Biller) Scopano was Director of Education for Sylvan Learning Systems, where she managed a staff of 18 and oversaw the education program for 150 students.
She's actively involved in music education and piano performance in the York community and gives much of her time to the furtherance of that. She welcomes students who are striving for and committed to excellence. Currently, she offers both private and group piano lessons for students, including adults. She also teaches a comprehensive music class for children ages 4-6; where students learn piano, singing, dance/movement, rhythm, and ear training.
Ms. Scopano maintains an active piano studio in York and has been teaching privately for the past eleven years. She's a member of the Music Teacher's National Association, National Guild of Piano Teachers and actively serves as Vice President of the York Music Teacher’s Association.
